Amy Lew, PhD. has been teaching Adlerian theory and practice internationally for over 45 years. She works with individuals, families, and couples via video conference. Amy has coauthored 5 books for parents, teachers and couples which have been translated into 6 languages. She has written numerous articles and book chapters on Adlerian Psychology She is on the editorial board of
The Family Journal: Counseling and Therapy for Couples and Families; and served as column editor for the Journal of Individual Psychology, Couple and Family Intervention.(JIP). She also guest edited a special issue of the JIP on the Crucial Cs.
Amy served 13 years as a delegate and two terms as vice president of the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology. She received their Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022.
She is currently on the faculty of the International Committee of Adlerian Summer Schools and Institutes and presents internationally on Adlerian topics.
She is especially known for developing the Adlerian construct of the Crucial Cs and the Connexions Focusing Technique for Understanding Early Recollections
