Becky LaFountain is a retired psychologist and university professor. She taught in the Department of Counseling at Shippensburg University (PA) and in the Department of Psychology at Penn State. She had a private practice in Hershey, PA. She was the administrator of the International Committee for Adlerian Summer Schools and Institutes (ICASSI) for 8 years after having served on its faculty. She was the executive director of the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology (NASAP) for 9 years. She has been named a Diplomate of Adlerian Psychology and a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. She served two terms as Vice President of the International Association of Individual Psychology (IAIP). She co-authored a research and statistics text and published many Adlerian manuscripts, including a book, several chapters, and numerous articles. In her retirement, she is putting her Adlerian Psychology into ACTION through volunteer activities such as serving internationally and nationally on Mercy Ships in Madagascar and a national committee for Together Women Rise. On the community level, she volunteers at an animal shelter, historical theater, food pantry, etc.
