Richard Kopp (1942 – 2012) enrolled in the Human Development graduate program at the University of Chicago, earning a doctorate in 1973. He interned at the Dreikurs group practice in Chicago, supervised by Harold Mosak and Bernard Shulman, and then returned to California to practice and teach clinical psychology. He was a noted Adlerian psychologist, author, and Professor at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP), where his legacy includes many former students who are now distinguished clinical psychologists. He wrote Metaphor Therapy, defining innovative methods for using metaphors in therapy, and numerous articles.
