Tim Hartshorne received his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in School Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1979, where he studied with Guy Manaster. From 1978 to 1989, he directed the specialist-level school psychology program at Wichita State University. He taught at Central Michigan University from 1989 until his retirement in 2022. There, he had a brief sojourn as school psychology program director, seven years as department chair, and two years as assistant vice provost. He holds a Diplomate from the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology and served NASAP as Theory, Research, and Teaching Section Liaison, Vice President, President-Elect, President, and Past President.  He was the author or co-author of 13 articles in the Journal of Individual Psychology.
