William Curlette, Ph.D., was designated a Professor Emeritus from Georgia State University in 2019, where he was a professor in the Research, Measurement, and Statistics Section of the Department of Educational Policy Studies. During his forty-five years at Georgia State University in the College of Education and Human Development, he held various administrative positions. Over many years, he worked with faculty in the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services, and as Professor in that Department, he served on numerous dissertations on Individual Psychology. Dr. Curlette is a Diplomate in Adlerian Psychology and, for nineteen years, was Co-Editor of The Journal of Individual Psychology. He is a co-author of the BASIS-A Inventory, where he led the development of the inventory scales based on measurement methodology. Currently, as of 2025, he advises the Positive Discipline Association, which is based on Individual Psychology, in the area of research.
